MedAdvisor for Pharmacy

Cloud update

We are excited to share an important update about the MedAdvisor for Pharmacy cloud migration initiative, designed to help empower a transition to the pharmacy of the future, and expanded scope of practice.

The migration includes 3 key stages, to minimise any impact on your workflow.

Stage 1 – Transition: Provides pharmacies early access to the new, enhanced look and feel of the MedAdvisor for Pharmacy platform and new web-based forms, while maintaining current workflows.

Stage 2 – Install: Provides an upgraded, feature-rich version of MedAdvisor for Pharmacy that simplifies processes and ensures minimal disruption of day-to-day operations.

Stage 3 – Anytime, anywhere: Offers flexibility, enhanced engagement, and improved operational efficiency through innovative, data-driven tools, accessible securely in the cloud anytime, anywhere.

Value Add for Pharmacists

In Stage 3, we anticipate pharmacists will fully experience the true value of MedAdvisor for Pharmacy in the cloud. This stage will unlock the ability to work from anywhere, offering increased flexibility, enhanced productivity, elevated security and streamlined workflows. Pharmacists will also benefit from improved patient management, seamless software updates, and superior integration with key pharmacy programs, empowering them to deliver better care while optimizing daily operations.

What’s next

Today, nearly 90% of our pharmacy network has reached Stage 1 and we anticipate all pharmacies will be fully transitioned by the end of the year. As we progress into Stage 3, pharmacists will begin to experience the full benefits of MedAdvisor for Pharmacy in the cloud, including the ability to use it from anywhere at any time, enhanced flexibility, and streamlined workflows. This phased approach ensures a smooth transition with minimal disruption while unlocking powerful features designed to optimize your pharmacy operations.

Introducing the Wegovy® (semaglutide 2.4 mg)

Pharmacy Program

The Wegovy® Pharmacy Program enables you to support patients in-store through a sponsored professional service designed to provide patients with:

information about Wegovy®
instructions on how to administer Wegovy®
advice on managing GI-related side effects
information about wegovycare®, the Wegovy® patient support program.

By completing the service for an eligible patient, your pharmacy can be remunerated $12.50 per patient.

Consult the Wegovy® Pharmacy Program tile in your PlusOne Health Services Hub to discover your pharmacy’s eligible patient pool.
Ensure your pharmacy team knows to interact with program pop-ups when dispensing for Wegovy® patients.

Pharmacy Connect 2024 was an exceptional experience for MedAdvisor Solutions, and we are thrilled to share our insights from this year’s conference in Sydney.

Engagement and Networking

The conference provided an unparalleled platform for us to engage with pharmacists, industry leaders, and fellow exhibitors. The energy at the Hyatt Regency was palpable, with attendees eager to explore the latest innovations in pharmacy practice. Our booth was a hub of activity, attracting a diverse crowd interested in our digital health solutions.

Product Showcase

We had the opportunity to showcase our latest offerings, including the new features of the MedAdvisor app including ASL integration due for release in October this year, MedAdvisor for Pharmacy Cloud software including the integration of Secure communications and Prescribing which support ESOP initiatives The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, with many pharmacists expressing interest in how our solutions can streamline their workflow and improve patient outcomes. Demonstrating our Software capabilities in real-time allowed us to connect with clients on a practical level, highlighting the tangible benefits of our technology.

Helping you navigate Carer Mode with ease

Pharmacists have requested guidance on their obligations when carer-mode is used by patients. Carer-mode is a feature where one party allows another party to access their medication management in the MedAdvisor app. For instance, a parent managing their child’s medication information. Additionally, an adult child managing their parent’s medication information.
